Spot gold maintained a narrow range-bound trend in early trading, opening today at 4390.12, essentially unchanged from the previous close. It is currently quoted at 4384.54, with an intraday high of 4393.29 and a low of 4383.56, reflecting an overall narrowing trading range.
Overnight, the U.S. ADP employment data came in below expectations, putting pressure on the U.S. Dollar Index and sending it lower. Gold began a strong rebound from the interim low of 4282.53, rising by more than 100 points cumulatively and reaching around 4393 at its peak.
