1 BTC CandyDrop for Existing Users: Why This Gate Campaign Is Interesting While BTC Holds Near $79K
The crypto market is showing a noticeably stronger tone this week, with Bitcoin recently reclaiming the $80,000 area before cooling back toward the $78,000–$79,000 zone. As of August 27, BTC remains roughly 14% higher over the past seven days, while market-depth data is showing improving participation behind the recent recovery. In this environment, Gate’s #CandyDrop1BTCForOldUsers campaign stands out because it is specifically designed for existing users

#CandyDrop1BTCForOldUsers
Gate is putting the spotlight on its existing user base with a limited-time CandyDrop campaign built around a simple idea: reward users who were already part of the platform before the campaign started, while giving them a chance to earn a share of a 1 BTC reward pool.
The eligibility window is clearly defined. Accounts registered before August 24, 2026, at 16:00 UTC qualify for the campaign, making this an event specifically designed for Gate’s earlier users rather than a general new-user promotion. The event runs from August 25 through September 8, 2026, giving eligible participants a defined period to complete the required activity and accumulate Candy.
The most notable part of the campaign is how straightforward the basic task is. Eligible users can receive 1 Candy by completing at least 1 USDT of futures trading volume. That low minimum makes the entry requirement accessible, while the Candy-based reward mechanism creates a direct connection between participation and the eventual share of the BTC pool.
But there is an important distinction that participants should understand: the 1 BTC is the total reward pool, not a guaranteed 1 BTC reward for every participant. Each user's final allocation depends on their Candy and the campaign's distribution mechanism. The maximum individual reward is up to 0.001 BTC, so the objective is to build an eligible Candy balance rather than assume that completing the minimum task automatically determines a fixed BTC payout.
Participation is already significant, with more than 22,000 users shown on the CandyDrop page. That number matters because a growing participant base means the reward pool is being distributed across an increasingly active group. It also makes understanding the rules more important for anyone planning to participate.
There is another critical step that should not be overlooked: users need to join the event first, complete the required task, and complete identity verification in order to receive rewards. Simply generating futures volume without properly joining the campaign may not be enough to qualify for the final distribution.
From a broader platform perspective, this campaign is interesting because Gate is combining three elements in one event: loyalty, trading activity and a fixed BTC reward pool. Instead of focusing exclusively on attracting new registrations, the campaign gives older users a reason to return to the platform and participate during a specific promotional window.
The structure also creates a clear progression. First comes eligibility based on account registration time. Then comes event participation. After joining, users complete the minimum futures-volume requirement to earn Candy. Finally, their accumulated Candy determines their proportional share of the 1 BTC pool, subject to the campaign rules and individual reward cap.
For existing Gate users, the campaign therefore deserves attention not because everyone receives the same reward, but because the mechanism rewards eligible participation within a limited timeframe. With the event running until September 8, the key is to understand the requirements before trading rather than treating the promotion as a reason to take unnecessary market risk.
The bigger takeaway is simple: Gate is using a relatively small trading-volume threshold to activate participation while putting a meaningful 1 BTC pool behind the campaign. With more than 22,000 participants already visible, the event has quickly developed a strong participation base.
The important numbers to remember are August 24, 16:00 UTC for the account-registration cutoff, August 25–September 8 for the campaign period, 1 USDT minimum futures volume for 1 Candy, 1 BTC as the total reward pool, and 0.001 BTC as the maximum individual reward.
For existing users, this is less about chasing a headline-sized reward and more about understanding how the Candy distribution works, completing the required steps correctly, and participating within the campaign window. A simple task can open the door to the pool, but the final reward depends on Candy allocation not on the assumption that every participant receives an equal share.

It really was that simple. $BTC
Markets don't always require complicated theories. Sometimes the cleanest thesis is the one that works.
Most traders don't lose because the market is impossible to understand.
They lose because they abandon their plan, overthink every move, and keep changing their bias.
Keep it simple. Build a plan. Trust your process.
Everything looks obvious once you see it in hindsight.

NVIDIA earnings week: NVDA’s most dangerous rival isn’t AMD, but Wall Street’s “perfectionism”
When discussing NVIDIA, many people immediately think of AMD, Google’s TPU, or self-developed AI chips.
But I think NVDA’s biggest competitor right now is actually something invisible:
market expectations.
NVIDIA’s results for the second fiscal quarter were extremely impressive: revenue of $96.22 billion, adjusted EPS of $2.22, and data center revenue of $89 billion, up 117% year over year.
But the problem is that the market already knew NVIDIA would perform well.
So what truly determines the stock p

#EventContracts1%Reward Gate Event Contracts: The 200,000 USDT Competition Is More Than Just a 1% Reward
Gate’s Event Contract Carnival is now entering an important phase, with the competition running from August 26, 2026 at 14:00 UTC+8 through September 2 at 08:00 UTC+8. The campaign offers a combined 200,000 USDT reward pool across four different incentive tracks, making it considerably broader than a standard trading-volume competition. The latest official Gate announcement confirms that Event Contracts currently cover BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, HYPE and BNB, with prediction periods of 5 min

#EventContracts1%Reward Gate Event Contract Carnival: How the 200,000 USDT Reward Structure Works
Gate’s Event Contract Carnival Competition is now live from August 26 at 14:00 to September 2 at 08:00 UTC+8, introducing a combined 200,000 USDT prize pool alongside trading-volume incentives and first-order loss compensation for eligible new users. The interesting part of this campaign is not simply the headline reward. It is the way Gate has divided the incentives across multiple participation paths, allowing users with different trading volumes to target different reward mechanisms.
The first incentive is designed specifically for new Event Contract users. The first 2,000 eligible new users whose first order results in a loss can receive compensation based on their actual loss, with a maximum compensation of 5 USDT per person. This lowers the initial cost of experimentation for qualifying users, but the compensation should not be interpreted as guaranteed profit. Eligibility, timing and the campaign's applicable conditions still determine whether a user qualifies.
The second incentive is the largest part of the campaign and focuses on Peak Trading Competition rewards. A total of 100,000 USDT is allocated to the peak leaderboard, with rewards distributed according to different trading-volume tiers. One particularly important threshold is 1 million USDT in trading volume, where eligible users can receive a guaranteed 1% trading-volume reward under the campaign structure.
There is also a separate 50,000 USDT trading-volume sharing pool. This is designed for eligible participants who do not receive leaderboard rewards. Instead of competing only for a fixed ranking position, participants can share the dedicated pool according to their proportion of eligible trading volume, with an individual maximum reward of 500 USDT. This creates two different approaches: compete for leaderboard rewards or qualify for the volume-sharing mechanism.
The third incentive focuses on users who may not generate millions in volume. Gate has introduced tiered daily trading-volume benefits, creating a lower barrier for consistent participation. Tier A requires at least 500 USDT of daily trading volume and provides a 2.5 USDT daily reward, while Tier B requires at least 1,000 USDT of daily trading volume and provides a 10 USDT daily reward. Users who meet the requirements on at least three days can claim rewards, while maintaining Tier B requirements throughout the full event period could result in up to 70 USDT under the stated campaign structure.
This part of the competition is particularly interesting because it shifts the focus from one huge trading session to consistent activity across multiple days. A user does not necessarily need to compete directly with the highest-volume traders to participate in the campaign's daily incentive structure.
The fourth incentive adds another layer through daily check-ins. To qualify for a daily check-in, users need to complete at least 3 trades and reach a minimum daily trading volume of 20 USDT. Users who complete qualifying check-ins on at least three cumulative days can participate in sharing a dedicated 10,000 USDT prize pool.
Putting the four incentives together gives the campaign a clear structure:
New user → first-order loss compensation
High-volume trader → leaderboard competition
Eligible non-leaderboard trader → volume-sharing pool
Consistent trader → daily tier rewards
Regular participant → check-in prize pool
That makes the campaign broader than a conventional trading competition where only the highest-volume accounts have a realistic chance of receiving meaningful rewards.
For Event Contract participants, however, trading volume should not be confused with profitability. Generating additional volume simply to qualify for a reward can expose traders to losses, especially in short-duration event contracts where prices can move quickly. The reward percentage should therefore be considered alongside the potential trading risk rather than viewed as a guaranteed return.
The same principle applies to the first-order compensation. A maximum 5 USDT loss compensation can reduce the impact of an eligible first loss, but it does not remove the possibility of losing more than the compensation amount or experiencing repeated losses afterward.
A disciplined approach would therefore be to understand the Event Contract mechanics first, determine the exact campaign eligibility requirements, and only then decide whether the trading activity fits your strategy. Users should pay particular attention to minimum volume requirements, qualifying trade conditions, reward caps, leaderboard calculations, daily requirements and claim procedures.
The campaign's 200,000 USDT total reward pool is certainly attention-grabbing, but the more interesting feature is its layered reward design. High-volume traders can pursue the leaderboard, medium-volume participants can target the sharing pool and daily benefits, while smaller participants can potentially focus on check-in requirements and eligible introductory incentives.
The event runs only until September 2 at 08:00 UTC+8, so consistency matters more than waiting until the final day. At the same time, chasing volume simply because a reward is available can turn an incentive campaign into unnecessary trading risk.
My view is that the strongest way to approach the Carnival is to treat the rewards as a secondary benefit, not the primary reason to trade. First understand the contract, then manage position size, and only generate volume that fits your own risk limits.
The campaign effectively creates a simple progression:
Learn the Event Contract → Trade within your strategy → Build qualifying volume → Track daily requirements → Monitor leaderboard position → Claim eligible rewards.
The biggest headline may be 200,000 USDT, but the real opportunity is the flexibility of the reward structure. Whether you are a new participant, a high-volume trader or someone focused on consistent daily activity, there is a separate path built into the competition.
Trade for the setup, manage risk first, and let the campaign rewards come as an additional benefit not as a reason to overtrade.
