Gate Europe to Discontinue Support for SEI Native Mainnet and Transition to the SEI EVM Network

According to the official announcement from the Sei (SEI) project team, support for the SEI native mainnet is being discontinued as part of Sei’s SIP-03 migration. Going forward, Gate Europe will support deposits and withdrawals exclusively through the SEI EVM network.
This transition relates to Sei’s migration from Cosmos-native interfaces to EVM-compatible access. According to Sei, this represents one blockchain with two ways to interact with it, rather than two separate chains. Sei has indicated that the migration process is expected to be completed before 15 June 2026.

As part of this transition, Gate Europe will implement the following changes:

1. SEI Native Mainnet Deposits Discontinued
   Deposit services for the SEI native mainnet have been discontinued. Users must not send assets to previously assigned SEI native mainnet deposit addresses on Gate Europe, as such transfers may not be credited and recovery may not be possible.

2. Automatic Asset Transition
   Eligible SEI balances currently held on Gate Europe will be automatically transitioned to the SEI EVM network. For most users, no action is required unless otherwise notified by the platform.

3. SEI EVM Network Support
   Support for deposits and withdrawals through the SEI EVM network remains unchanged. From that point onward, Gate Europe will exclusively support transactions conducted through the SEI EVM network. Users are responsible for selecting the correct blockchain network when initiating deposits or withdrawals.

Important Reminder

Support for the SEI native mainnet has been fully discontinued by the platform. Users must not use previously assigned SEI native deposit addresses. Any transfers initiated through the unsupported network may fail and recovery may not be possible.
