Metaplanet Inc. issued 3.6 billion yen bonds to purchase Bitcoin.
According to the Gate.io News bot, as reported by Wu, Metaplanet Inc. has officially announced the issuance of the 12th series of ordinary bonds to the EVO FUND, with a total issuance amount of 3.6 billion yen (approximately 24.71 million USD), and the funds raised will be used to purchase Bitcoin.
This bond is a zero-coupon bond that will mature and pay its face value on October 31, 2025. The company plans to use the proceeds from the exercise of stock subscription rights in phases 15 to 17 as the source of funds for the bond redemption.
