Note: The victim or informant reporting the theft must obtain KYC ID verification on Gate. All information provided by the victim or informant must be legal and true. False or malicious reports will not be processed and may result in account review.
1.If currencies stolen by hackers from wallets or other exchanges are confirmed to have entered Gate, the victim or informant needs to provide screenshots of the transfer record, transaction ID, transfer address, all related blockchain transaction links, and a detailed narrative of the case.
2.If you want to report that someone transferred currencies obtained through illegal means onto Gate, you need to provide detailed evidence including screenshots of the transfer record, currency types, transfer amount, transaction ID, and a narrative of the case.
3.If money obtained through fraudulent offline trading is suspected to have entered Gate, the victim or the informant needs to provide all transfer records and a detailed narrative of the case.
For cases where the victim or informant is able to provide all information listed above, once Gate US receives sufficient information suggesting potential illicit activity, the matter will be referred to law enforcement for further review.
We recommend that, within 24 hours after reporting to Gate, victims and informants also inform the police of the matter. Victims and informants should provide the police receipt to Gate as early as possible, so that Gate US will cooperate with relevant judicial authorities in accordance with applicable U.S. laws. and cooperate with law enforcement. In the absence of a valid legal request, Gate US cannot restrict or release user assets on its own discretion.
In addition, if law enforcement requires Gate to help with the investigation, please send an email to regulatory@gate.us . The email must include ID information of the law enforcement officer, police files of the case, instructions on how Gate should help. If the suspect's account needs to be frozen, a court order must be provided.
When working together with the judicial department, Gate will respect local laws and actively assist law enforcement officers. Once the case is confirmed as an actual crime and the suspect's account is frozen under a court order, the victim or informant should provide necessary materials to Gate and law enforcement to help recover the stolen assets.
