Gate US accounts now support USD balances for trading, and USD Wire deposits and withdrawals are officially live. Customers no longer need to convert funds into stablecoins just to keep them on the platform between trades, as their funds will stay in USD until they choose to trade.
Backed by the upgraded banking and payment infrastructure, verified customers in eligible jurisdictions can now transfer larger amounts directly from a U.S. bank account in their own name using USD Wire, which offers higher limits than standard card or app-based payment methods, and cash out their USD balances back to the same verified bank account whenever they choose. This seamless integration improves security, efficiency, and convenience in account management.
To get started, customers can open the Gate US App, navigate to Assets or Wallet, select USD, choose Deposit via USD Wire, and follow the on-screen instructions, including their unique reference code, to complete the transfer. This milestone marks a significant step forward in delivering a more flexible, efficient, and user-centric fiat gateway for eligible Gate US customers.
Gate US is not a bank. USD balances are held for the benefit of customers at a U.S.-chartered bank and are not FDIC or SIPC insured. USD deposits and withdrawals are not currently available to residents of Colorado, Hawaii, Missouri, New Jersey, Utah, or Wyoming.
