To further enhance account security, Gate has upgraded the withdrawal address management feature by introducing an additional security measure for newly added trusted addresses — Withdrawal Limits for New Trusted Addresses.
1.Feature Overview
This new feature allows users to configure a Withdrawal Restriction Duration for newly added trusted addresses. Withdrawals to these addresses will be restricted during the set period, effectively reducing the risk of fund loss caused by address tampering or unauthorized account access.
2.How to Configure (Feature Details)
1.Security Center > Withdrawal Settings > Withdrawal Limits for New Trusted Address
2.Enabling the Setting: Navigate to the settings page and select a Withdrawal Restriction Duration: 24 hours, 48 hours, or 72 hours.
- Once enabled, any newly added unverified withdrawal address will automatically enter the selected lock-in period. Withdrawals to that address will be restricted until the lock-in period expires.
3.Modifying the Setting: After configuration, users may update the Withdrawal Restriction Duration to any of the available options: 24 hours, 48 hours, or 72 hours.
4.Disabling the Setting: If Withdrawal Limits for New Trusted Addresses is disabled , as a security measure, withdrawals will be restricted for 24 hours before resuming normal operation.
3. Important Notes
- This setting only applies to trusted addresses added after the feature is enabled, and does not affect existing trusted addresses.
- Users are advised to select a Withdrawal Restriction Duration based on their withdrawal frequency to balance security and convenience.
