Intel Rises 4% as Investors Eye Memory Chip Cooperation With SK Hynix
According to Reuters, Intel discussed yesterday with SK Hynix, a South Korean chipmaker, regarding the potential production of memory chips in the United States. Intel stock rose 4% on Wednesday. Under consideration are options including SK Hynix leasing a portion of Intel's planned Ohio facility or establishing a joint venture with Intel or other companies. Both companies are currently in the exploratory stage, and discussions may not result in a commercial agreement.
