Singapore Financial Firms to Train 80,000 Workers in AI by 2028
According to Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong, Singapore's financial institutions will train over 80,000 local employees in AI by 2028 as part of a government effort to manage job transitions in the sector. More than half of employees at 23 participating banks, insurers, and asset managers have already completed industry-recognized AI courses, with training covering roles including leaders, wealth managers, and operations staff.
