To ensure the safety of your assets, to guarantee favorable compliance for the development of the cryptocurrency industry, and to reduce fraud, money laundering, blackmail, and other illegal activities, Gate US requires that all users pass KYC ID Verification. Unverified users will not be able to access our trading services including but not limited to: Deposit, Withdrawal, Transfer, etc.
Step 1: Log in to your Gate US account, then click your avatar and navigate to Individual Verification.
Step 2: On the "Verification Level 1" card, click the Verify Now button to start the KYC process.
Step 3: Read the Data Collection Consent carefully, then click Accept to continue.
Step 4: Review the Compliance Consent notice and click Accept to proceed.
Step 5: Confirm that (1) you are a lawful resident of a U.S. state or territory, and (2) you are opening the account for your own individual benefit. Select Yes for both, then click Accept .
Step 6: Follow the on-screen prompts and provide the required information, including name, nationality, date of birth, email, phone number, Social Security Number, address, etc. Make sure all details match your legal documents.
Step 7: After completing all the required fields, review your information carefully and click Next. Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with the next steps.
Note: The identification information must be consistent with the basic information.
Step 8: Click Start to enter the identification verification page. A QR code will appear—scan it with your mobile phone to continue. Using your phone’s camera, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the facial scan.
After the scan and document upload, your submission will be reviewed by the system.
The processing time for KYC (identity verification) on Gate US typically ranges from half an hour to 12 hours. You can check the verification status in your account once the process is complete.
