How to create a Gate account?

Step 1: Go to the Gate website and click the "Sign Up" button in the top right corner.
Step 2: On the "Create Account" page, choose to register with your email or phone number.
Step 3: Provide all required information (email address, login password, etc.). Make sure you accept the User Agreement. Then click "Sign Up".
Step 4: You may also register with your phone number. If so, please provide all required information (phone number, login password, etc.). Make sure you accept the User Agreement. Then click "Sign Up".
Then a verification code will be sent to the provided email address or your phone. Please enter the 6-digit code and click "Confirm" to complete registration. Once it is done, you will be redirected to the login page.
Why should I get my account identity verified?

You are required to verify your identity on Gate by going through our KYC process.
Once your account is verified, you can ask to raise the withdrawal limit of a specific coin if the current limit cannot satisfy your needs.
With a verified account, you can also enjoy a faster and smoother deposit and withdrawal experience.
Getting your account verified is also an important step to enhance the security of your account.
How to complete KYC verification?

Follow these steps to complete KYC (Know Your Customer) identity verification on Gate:
Step 1: Register and verify your contact details
When you register, your email address and phone number will be verified.
You will then be asked to provide the following mandatory personal information:
Full legal name
Residential address
Date and place of birth
Nationality
Official ID number
Step 2: Submit documents to verify your identity and address
To confirm the information provided in Step 1, you will be asked to upload the following documents or complete an automated data capture process using document recognition technology:
A valid identity document (national ID card or passport)
Proof of residential address, such as:
(a) a recent utility bill (not older than 3 months), or
(b) bank statement or reference letter issued by a recognised EU credit institution, or
(c) a lease agreement or rental contract, or
(d) official correspondence from a central or local government authority showing your residential address
Document information may be either entered manually by you, or automatically extracted using document recognition technology (OCR), where available.
Step 3: Identity verification and liveness check
To ensure you are the legitimate holder of the identity document submitted, you will be requested to complete a liveness check.
This process confirms that the person submitting the application is physically present, and the identity document matches a real individual at the time of verification.
Step 4: Complete the KYC questionnaire
You will be asked to answer a few questions about your employment and the origin of your funds. This information helps us comply with regulatory requirements.
Step 5: Application review
Once all steps are completed, our compliance team will review your application. You will be notified promptly once the review is finished.
If you encounter upload issues, check that your name contains no special characters, make sure your picture is in the correct format, or try a different internet connection. Once all steps are completed, your KYC application will be reviewed promptly.
How to enable 2-step login security settings?

2-step login provides another layer of protection for your account. To use this feature, you first need to bind your mobile phone number, Google Authenticator or email address to your account.
After enabling this feature, you will be required to enter an SMS verification code, Google verification (GA/TOTP) code and/or email verification code for every login you perform.
Set up via Security Settings. Log in to your account → Click on the avatar in the top right corner → Security Settings → Login 2-Step Verification → Click the button to Turn On or Change.
How to make deposits and withdrawals?

Go to "Deposit" on the Gate website. Follow the step-by-step instructions to fill in the required information, then transfer your funds to the provided deposit address. For withdrawals, navigate to "Withdraw", enter the amount and destination address carefully, and confirm the transaction to complete the process securely.
How to trade crypto?

Log in to your Gate account, navigate to "Trade" from the top navigation bar, and explore various trading pairs. You can place orders instantly using market or limit orders, monitor real-time price charts, and manage your portfolio efficiently. Make sure to review your trades carefully before confirming.
