According to Gate.io News bot, as reported by Shenchao, the Signal instant messaging software has gained recognition from the tech community and privacy advocates for its privacy protection capabilities and has now become a communication platform for U.S. military operations. Tesla CEO Elon Musk and “Prism” whistleblower Edward Snowden have both publicly supported Signal.
The Signal Foundation operates as a non-profit organization, mainly relying on donations for funding. During its development on mobile platforms, Signal integrated the privacy payment project MobileCoin. Signal’s founder, Moxie Marlinspike, served as a technical advisor for MobileCoin and holds a partial stake in the cryptocurrency.
