Golden Finance reports that on April 7 local time, April 8, U.S. Vice President Vance said that if Iran fails to reach an agreement by the last deadline that evening, the U.S. may escalate its actions against Iran, even using previously “unused means.” Vance said the U.S. has the “ability to inflict greater pain,” but stressed that neither Trump nor he himself “wants to go that far,” and that negotiations are currently being actively advanced. He said the U.S. expects to receive Iran’s response by 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time on the 7th (8:00 a.m. Beijing time on the 8th), regardless of whether the outcome is positive or negative. Vance warned that the U.S. still has “unused means” at its disposal. If Iran does not cooperate, the U.S. does not rule out using these means. (CCTV)
