Iranian military claims to have shot down a U.S. A-10 attack aircraft

Golden Finance reports that on April 4, Iran’s military public relations department said on April 3 that on that day in the southern waters near the Strait of Hormuz, Iran’s national integrated air defense network, through tracking and monitoring, successfully shot down a U.S. Air Force A-10 attack aircraft. Iran stated that the aircraft belonged to an “aggressive hostile force.” U.S. officials confirmed earlier that day that an A-10 “Warthog” attack aircraft crashed near the Strait of Hormuz, and the pilot on board had been rescued.
