Just woke up, and yet another DeFi heist—on the Solana ecosystem DeFi protocol Drift—happened at around dawn, with a major hacking attack. About $280 million in cryptocurrency was moved. The hackers even transferred some of the assets to the Ethereum network to buy $ETH. The most stolen items were, respectively, $150 million JLP and $60.4 million USDC. As a result, the platform’s own governance token $DRIFT has hit a new low. The one thing that should be done most right now is to wipe and clean out all wallets in hand, and withdraw the money from the nooks and crannies of the old protocol!
