World Large Enterprise Research Association: U.S. Consumer Inflation Expectations Significantly Rise in March

Golden Finance reported that on April 1, the preliminary survey results released on March 31 by the U.S. research organization the Conference Board showed that, due to the significant increase in oil prices caused by military actions by the United States and Israel against Iran, U.S. consumers’ 12-month inflation expectations rose markedly in March. The survey data indicated that the median expectation for inflation over the next 12 months in March was 5.2%, significantly higher than February’s 4.5%, and consistent with data from May 2025.
