Golden Finance reports that on March 30, the nonprofit organization European Crypto Initiative (European Crypto Initiative, abbreviated as EUCI) announced at the EthCC[9] conference that it has officially changed its name to the European Ethereum Institute (European Ethereum Institute, abbreviated as EEI). It said that Ethereum has become the core infrastructure layer of Europe’s digital economy, and that this name change is intended to align with this reality.
EEI positions itself as a public infrastructure policy research institution for Europe’s digital future. It will provide independent, evidence-based analysis to examine regulatory issues affecting Ethereum, its developers, and users. It will connect protocol developers, civil society, enterprises, and policymakers, and translate technical realities into actionable policy recommendations.
