Gate Charity Organizes NFT Fundraiser for Children's Education in Benin, Africa

Gate Charity, the global non-profit blockchain charity organization of the crypto exchange Gate.io, successfully organized a blockchain-based charity initiative in Benin, Africa. For the initiative, Gate Charity invited local kindergarteners to participate in creating unique paintings that will be sold as NFTs to raise funds for children’s education.

Recently, volunteers from Gate Charity contacted a local kindergarten in Benin to organize a preschool painting activity for children to express their voices through art. The diversity of the children’s paintings reflects not only their individual thoughts and creativity but also a microcosm of the local social and cultural development.

Benin is a small coastal nation in West Africa, where more than 13 million people are affected by poverty and heavily rely on subsistence farming. Unfortunately, climate change is threatening the already fragile livelihoods of Beninese, exacerbating pre-existing issues around access to quality education, clean water, healthcare, and other critical social services.

Through blockchain technology, Gate Charity and Gate NFT will convert each of the children’s paintings into NFTs to be listed for sale on Gate NFT, the NFT marketplace of the crypto exchange Gate.io. All proceeds will be donated to the kindergarten to improve teaching facilities and educational conditions. In this way, while children develop their creativity through drawing, they also receive improvements to their learning environment.

Gate Charity issued certificates to the kindergarten’s principals to show gratitude and recognition for supporting the children’s ability to learn and grow. This event is a blockchain charity project planned by Gate Charity in Africa and is part of its ongoing global non-profit blockchain charity campaign.
