Turkey removes crypto tax provisions, originally planned to impose a 0.3% transaction tax

Golden Finance reported that on March 29, during the Turkish parliament’s review of a comprehensive bill, it deleted tax provisions related to crypto assets. Previously, the provision was intended to levy a 0.3% transaction tax on crypto transactions conducted through service providers and to withhold tax on crypto gains.
The adjustment came in response to strong opposition from the opposition. Officials said the relevant content may be resubmitted in the future in the form of separate legislation.
