Trump will skip the U.S. Conservative Political Action Conference for the first time in 10 years.
Golden Finance reports that on March 26, according to U.S. sources on the 25th, President Trump will for the first time in ten years miss the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). The conference is scheduled to take place from March 25 to 28 in Grapevine, Texas. A White House official revealed that Trump will not attend this year’s event. U.S. Vice President Pence is also not listed among the speakers. It is said that this year’s CPAC coincides with divisions within the Republican Party over U.S. military actions against Iran. Additionally, the Republican Party is preparing hard to maintain control of both chambers of Congress in the midterm elections this year. CPAC is one of the most important annual gatherings for conservative activists, officials, and media figures in the United States. Since 2016, Trump has been a regular participant in the conference.
