Bitcoin Centralization: Two Pools Mined 56% of Blocks in 3 Years

Bitcoin is considered a decentralized cryptocurrency, but the data suggests otherwise.

Over the past three years, two mining pools – Foundry USA and AntPool – have mined 56.37% of all BTC blocks.

▪️Foundry USA – 46,076 blocks (28.72%)

▪️AntPool – 34,365 blocks (21.42%)

The overall result is 90,441 blocks out of 160,432.

Such a concentration of power raises questions among experts about the centralization of the network.
