SUI ecosystem storage protocol Walrus Protocol has started the Airdrop to reward early participants. Eligible users have received the Walrus Airdrop Non-fungible Token, which can be exchanged for WAL Token after the Mainnet release. This Airdrop accounts for 4% of the total supply, with 6% reserved for future community distribution. Non-fungible Tokens are non-tradable and are intended to encourage participation in the ecosystem.

On February 19, according to official sources, eligible users in the SUI ecosystem Decentralization storage protocol Walrus Protocol have begun to receive the Walrus Airdrop Non-fungible Tokens, which will entitle them to a certain amount of WAL Tokens. These tokens can be exchanged through the claim website when the Walrus Mainnet is released. The initial Airdrop consists of 4% of the total supply of 5 billion WAL Tokens, and an additional 6% will be reserved for future community distribution. This Airdrop is directly distributed to community members to reward early participants in the Walrus and SUI ecosystem in a meaningful way. Non-fungible Tokens are soul-bound, meaning they cannot be traded or transferred to another Wallet.
