⚖️The CFTC has slammed Randall Crater with a $7.6M restitution order for his My Big Coin scam.
💵From 2014-2018, Crater tricked 28 victims into buying MBC, falsely claiming it was gold-backed. Instead, he blew the cash on luxury goods.
🚫He’s now permanently banned from trading in CFTC-regulated markets & dealing with digital asset commodities.
😡In a parallel criminal case, Crater got over 8 years in prison, plus another $7.6M in penalties.
⚠️The CFTC warns that victims might not recover their losses—because, well, scammers don’t like giving money back.
