Arc Developer Announces AI Browser

The Browser Company, the company behind Arc, has announced a new web browser Dia with a focus on AI tools. The launch is expected in early 2025.

“Artificial intelligence will not exist as an app. Or a button. We believe it’s a completely new environment built on top of a web browser,” the new product’s website says.

In a video posted, The Browser Company CEO Josh Miller demonstrated some browser features. Among them:

  • writing the following sentence during text input;
  • providing facts from the Internet while searching for information;
  • analysis of open browser windows;
  • entering commands into the address bar, such as searching for documents by description, emailing or scheduling a meeting in the calendar;
  • performing actions on behalf of a user, such as adding items to a shopping cart in an online store from a list in a received email.

In a previously published video, Miller noted that his company’s task is to create an AI browser that works without crashes and generates profit.

In November, it became known that OpenAI wants to create its own browser.

Let’s remind, Google is developing AI technology that independently performs tasks in the web browser like searching for information, making purchases, or booking flights
