According to the latest research report from The Block Pro on November 28, TechFlow, a subsidiary of DeepFlow, stated that the number of payment-oriented blockchain projects reached its peak in 2021, with a total of 38 projects launched. The earliest project in this field can be traced back to 2012, including Ripple, which focused on cross-border payment solutions.

The Block Pro statistics show that there are currently 146 projects in this field, distributed in four categories: protocol, application, infrastructure, and payment gateway. The report predicts that with the promotion of encryption-friendly policies in the United States, the encryption payment field is expected to usher in a new wave of development in 2025.
