The Microsoft India X account is marked with a gold tick, indicating that it has been officially verified, which increases trust in the scam posts. The hijacked account was used to reply to tweets and direct followers and other users to a malicious website that falsely claims to provide a pre-sale of Gamestop (GME) cryptocurrency. This phishing site aims to steal the assets of anyone connected to the cryptocurrency wallet and authorized to perform transactions.
