The Italian Regulatory Authority Has Blocked Access to These Bitcoin and Altcoin Companies!
The Italian Companies and Commodity Exchange Commission (CONSOB) recently announced that it has blocked Italian citizens from accessing various platforms that allegedly provide illegal cryptocurrency investment and trading services.
The Italian regulatory body said that these platforms illegally promote the trading of foreign currencies, digital assets, and cryptocurrency derivatives in the country.
Ministries in Italy have said that citizens should not use this type, while CONSOB has stressed that it is concerned about the risks posed by the lack of regulation of cryptocurrencies.
The Commission has ordered internet providers to be blocked until they comply with the rules that these companies must comply with. According to local internet providers, it may take a few days for access to these sites to be blocked due to technical reasons.
Local regulators have taken a similar measure over the past few years, blocking about 1,065 websites. Despite these obstacles, the Gate.io exchange received a license from Italy last March and officially started to serve Italians.
