Chainlink announces top winners of Constellation 2023 hackathon
Chainlink Labs has unveiled prize winners in six categories, each focused on solving a specific task in the Web3 eco.
In a blog announcement on Dec. 20, the developer of the Chainlink decentralized oracle network said it had granted the main $25,000 prize to Unwallet.me, a seedless and gasless multi-chain crypto wallet.
The product leverages the so-called account abstraction mechanism to create seedless wallets, allowing them to connect to different blockchain networks in a single domain name. Unwallet.me supports cryptocurrencies across ious distributed ledgers, denominated in fiat, with the help of Chainlink Price Feeds oracles.
In the “DeFi and Payments” category, Chainlink awarded the first prize of $15,000 to Azurance, an on-chain insurance market, where developers can build or use customized insurance contracts.
Another $15,000 went to the decentralized cross-chain ETF platform XTF in the “Cross-Chain Solutions” category for a solution that allows users to return their exchange-traded fund (ETF) tokens and redeem the actual assets stored in these vaults. In total, Chainlink Labs distributed over $500,000 among nearly 40 participants.
The next Constellation hackathon is scheduled for spring 2024, although exact dates have not been provided yet. Launched in October, Constellation hackathons concentrate on projects that utilize at least one Chainlink service “that makes a state change on a blockchain.” It’s important to note, however, as emphasized by Chainlink Labs, that mere data reading from Chainlink Data Feeds does not qualify as a valid submission for a Chainlink core prize.
