Recently, I have seen a lot of projects working on zkVM solutions, and the general direction is: lightweight modularization. There is a very strong feeling that ZK Solution’s melee competition is gradually heating up.

Preliminary observations include solutions that provide development in multiple languages based on WASM, solutions that try to run the ZK Prover system on browsers and other devices through algorithm optimization, and ZK Solutions that provide Type 0 EVM equivalents that are compatible with the Ethereum ecosystem. , interestingly, there is also a ZK Solution based on OP Stack. Modular construction creates all possibilities.
In the past, we always thought that the ZK Circuit circuit was very sophisticated, the ZK Prove process was very complex, and ZK has always been shrouded in mystery. Although the zkSync and Starknet technologies in the current head ZK project are reliable, the ecology is not yet ready. To a certain extent, this ZK lightweight solution is gradually forcing the leaders of the ZK track to develop and change rapidly.
Otherwise, when projects can generally be ZK-enabled with a low threshold, ZK may just be a common technology choice. It’s like everyone is calling for the consensus mechanism to be transferred from POW to POS, but in the end the two have become coexisting. The relationship between ZK and OP is the same. Although ZK has stronger technology than OP, in the future, there is a high probability that it will not matter whether a system is OP or ZK. It may be just a technical choice. If you have friends who are doing zkVM, you can DM for in-depth discussions.
