Gold Finance reports that on April 22, according to the American Axios News website, U.S. President Trump announced that the extended ceasefire will not be “indefinite,” and he is giving Iran and all parties a “brief window” to “come together” and propose a unified plan. The report, citing U.S. sources, said Trump is willing to extend the ceasefire by another 3 to 5 days, “to let Iran sort things out,” but the ceasefire will not be extended indefinitely. The report states that U.S. negotiators believe reaching an agreement with Iran is still possible. It also said that Trump held an emergency meeting with his national security team on the afternoon of the 21st, and several U.S. officials and Trump’s aides believe that before exhausting all other options, Trump will not restart the war.
