Vosh: I will never become Trump's "puppet"
Golden Finance reports that on April 21, Federal Reserve Chair nominee Kevin Woorh stated, “I am deeply honored to receive the president’s nomination. If ultimately appointed as Federal Reserve Chair, I will be an independent decision-maker.” Woorh said in response to Louisiana Senator John Kennedy’s question that he would never become a “puppet” of the president. Woorh also stated that Trump did not ask him to make any commitments regarding certain interest rate decisions. Woorh said, “The president has never asked me to make any commitments on specific interest rate decisions, and that is beyond doubt. And even if he did make such a request, I would never agree.”
