Why do hackers only steal old coins and not new ones?】
Recently, KelpDAO and Drift have been stolen from, while new coins remain calm. Don't think new coins are technically superior; it's just that the economic calculations don't add up:
1️⃣ Old coins = Easy targets without a big player: chips are all in the hands of retail investors, with high circulation, and when hackers steal and crash the price, someone will buy in.
2️⃣ New coins = A playground for big players: the circulation is limited, and if hackers crash it, it goes to zero directly; who would they sell the stolen air coins to?
Hackers are not stupid; stealing from big players means they can't offload the coins, so they might as well steal from retail investors' trapped positions. This is also why old coins are all held by "retail investors who won't sell" — while you hold on, hackers are offloading for you.
