Ethereum Holds Strength Above Key Level as On-Chain Activity Improves
Ethereum is holding above $3,360, supported by improving on-chain metrics.
The 14-day average of transaction count has pushed to a new high, breaking past February levels. This trend has been building steadily since early March, showing consistent growth in network activity over the last six weeks.
This rise is likely driven by increased DeFi usage and Layer 2 activity. At the same time, low fees have also led to occasional spikes from dusting attacks, which can inflate transaction numbers.
Active addresses are also recovering after dropping to their lowest levels since January. While they’re moving up again, they’re still below the highs seen in early February.
Staking activity is picking up as well. Since the start of April, total staked ETH has increased by around 550K ETH, bringing the total to 39.28 million ETH. Year-to-date inflows now stand at 3.29 million ETH, showing strong participation in network security.
Despite this, total value locked (TVL) remains flat near $55.6 billion, suggesting that fresh capital is not yet flowing strongly into DeFi on mainnet.
From a technical perspective, ETH has shifted into a short-term bullish structure with higher lows after breaking the previous downtrend. Price is now sitting just below a key resistance zone around 2380–2400, where rejection is starting to appear.
This zone is the main decision area. A clean breakout and hold above 2400 opens the path toward 2468 and 2565. If accepted above resistance, continuation becomes likely.
If price fails to break and loses 2270, a pullback toward 2200 is likely. Below that, 2116 is the next strong support, followed by deeper support around 1930–1896.
Momentum is still positive but flattening, indicating slowing strength near resistance rather than a clear reversal.
Overall, ETH is trending up but currently sitting under supply. This is a reaction zone, not an ideal entry. Better to wait for either a confirmed breakout above 2400 or a pullback into support before taking positions.
