The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran issued an announcement stating that on the seventh day of the war and invasion launched by the United States and Israel against Iran, Iran continued carrying out the 22nd round of the “True Commitment 4” military operations. That day, Iran launched a large-scale barrage of new-generation missiles and carried out diverse and wide-ranging joint strike operations against U.S. and Israeli targets. The announcement said that Iran used various drones and precision missiles to strike the U.S. Zafrā Air Force Base in the region. In this operation, in addition to destroying the base’s early-warning radar, the hangars used to store and maintain MQ-9 drones and U-2 reconnaissance aircraft were also destroyed, and they are still burning.

The announcement said that a school in Minab City, Iran, was attacked, resulting in the deaths of 165 students. The attack was launched from that base. Iran also used cruise missiles and ballistic missiles to strike the U.S. Ali Salīm Air Force Base; the base’s early-warning radar and its associated facilities, aircraft fuel depots, and two airport runways were all destroyed. At present, thick rolling smoke from the site can be seen across the entire area. The announcement said that since this round of attacks against Iran began, U.S. military aircraft have been taking off from that base to drop missiles and bombs on Iranian territory. (CCTV News)
