When asked whether the Iran conflict would end with an agreement or by "destroying Iran's capabilities," Trump said, "Both options are possible, but I think reaching an agreement is preferable." On the 7th, Trump announced a two-week ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran. Earlier on the 14th, he told U.S. media that the Iran conflict was "close to ending," and hinted that in the next two days, the U.S. and Iran might return to the negotiating table in Pakistan.
