I just realized that the crypto industry is experiencing a pretty severe wave of layoffs. Hundreds of jobs have been lost in just a few weeks – this is quite noticeable.
Companies generally explain this mainly due to two factors: first, the weak market conditions that show no signs of improvement, and second, significant pressure from artificial intelligence. AI is transforming the entire landscape, and many companies need to adjust their structures.
What interests me: it reminds me of a red bear market, where sentiment remains unchanged. If both a weakening market and new technologies like AI cast doubt on existing business models, then companies are under real pressure.
The combination of economic slowdown and technological change is causing this situation. Some companies cannot adapt quickly enough or must redirect their resources. This wave of layoffs may just be the beginning of restructuring in this industry.
It will be interesting to observe how crypto companies respond to this double pressure – whether they will recover or if we should prepare for higher volatility.
