My older cousin back home works in water and electricity in a small county town.

He’s usually very bored, and everyone thinks he’s a failure.

Recently, at a dinner gathering, he casually opened his phone, and everyone at the table was stunned to see his account balance over 30k.

Because four years ago, the principal he invested in the crypto world was only 30k yuan. The next day, I specifically went to find him, wanting to ask if he had any insider information or some magical move.

But he only said one sentence: I’m not smart, I just follow the rules more strictly than others.

Then he told me six rules that are the dumbest but also the harshest.

First, rapid gains and slow declines aren’t necessarily bad. Many people get scared when prices pull back, but in fact, when the main players are truly accumulating, they often do so while pushing prices up and slowly shaking out weaker hands.

Second, if the price drops sharply and rebounds weakly, don’t touch it.
Many people love to buy the dip at this time, thinking that since it’s fallen so much, it should rebound. But most of the time, that’s not an opportunity — it’s the main players running away.

Third, volume increasing at a high level doesn’t necessarily mean a top.
The real danger is often when prices have risen to a high level, and the volume keeps decreasing while everyone is still hyping it up.
That’s when the main players are already preparing to leave.

Fourth, a single day of high volume at the bottom doesn’t count as a bottom.
The true bottom usually comes when there are several consecutive days of buyers stepping in, prices can’t go lower, and the volume gradually picks up.

Fifth, trading crypto isn’t about charts; it’s about people.
No matter how complex the indicators, in the end, it’s about what people in the market are thinking.
Volume reflects the most genuine emotions.

Sixth, and the hardest rule: hold an empty position.
If you don’t understand, don’t trade.
Many people lose money not because they see wrong, but because they don’t understand and still insist on trading.

My cousin said that the most profitable times for him in recent years weren’t during trading but during waiting.
Because he knows that in the crypto world, what’s most valuable isn’t how smart you are, but whether you can stick to your rules.

He said: I’m not amazing; I just do what I say every time.
That alone has already made me win against 90% of people.

I don’t teach you to gamble, nor do I promise overnight riches.
I only tell you when to charge forward and when to stop.
Once you truly learn to follow the rules, money will come naturally.
