Galaxy's CEO made an interesting statement about the threat of quantum technology, saying that it's not such a serious problem for Bitcoin. Indeed, the progress of stocks related to quantum computers is rapid, but in reality, the impact on Bitcoin's security still seems far off.
Whenever this topic comes up, I always think that the market might be overestimating the threat of quantum technology. It will take quite some time before it actually becomes a problem, and during that period, countermeasures will also advance. While the development of stocks related to quantum computers is definitely progressing, I believe whether the security of cryptocurrencies will truly be shaken is a different matter.
What do you think? I’d like to hear from someone knowledgeable about this area.
