Recently, I've seen a bunch of profile picture changes, memberships, and "brand storytelling" again. To be honest, long-term value and short-term attention can both be achieved, but I'm more concerned about whether the "rights" you're offering are clearly defined and verifiable. Especially with memberships—don't just look at how lively it is in Discord. Are the permissions in the smart contract upgradeable? Who do the proxies point to? Are there blacklists or freeze options? Can administrators change the rules with a single click? These are the real factors that determine whether you're buying a ticket or just air.
The wave of attention driven by memes and celebrity shoutouts is moving too fast. Newcomers really shouldn't take the last step... Once the hype dies down, all that's left are those few lines of code on the blockchain. Anyway, I still believe: projects that clearly define permission boundaries and are willing to openly show verifiable information are the ones qualified to talk about "brand."
