Trump says Iran's deadline to open the Strait of Hormuz is 8 a.m. on April 8.
ME News Report, April 6th (UTC+8), U.S. President Trump threatened that if the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened, he will strike Iran’s energy facilities. As a result, oil prices opened higher, with U.S. crude rising 1.3% to $113 per barrel. Trump posted on Sunday morning, “Tuesday will be Iran’s power plant and bridge day, take care of it all at once. Absolutely unprecedented!!! Open the Strait quickly.” A few hours later, he seemed to set a new deadline, “Tuesday, 8:00 PM Eastern Time in the U.S.! (8:00 AM Beijing time on April 8).” Trump previously issued a similar two-day ultimatum to Iran on March 21 but later extended the deadline to April 6. (Source: PANews)
