ME News Report, April 5 (UTC+8): Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement on April 5 stating that the IRGC Navy and Aerospace Force jointly launched Operation “Real Promise -4” Wave 96 strike actions in the early hours of April 5. The statement said the Revolutionary Guard launched a fierce attack on the Haifa refinery in Israel, which supplies fuel to Israeli aircraft, destroying its core components; missiles were used to attack the U.S. ExxonMobil and Chevron natural gas facilities in Habsah, the UAE, as well as a petrochemical plant in Ruweis, the UAE. In addition, several petrochemical facilities in Sitra, Bahrain, and Shuaiba, Kuwait, were also hit by drones and missiles, causing the facilities’ operations to come to a complete halt and triggering large-scale fires.
