I noticed an interesting contrast: Strategy (MSTR) stocks have been falling for 8 consecutive months, with a minus 14% in February alone, while their preferred shares STRC are holding steady around $100. The company just increased dividends on STRC to 11.5% — this is the 7th time since trading began in July of last year. It seems they are intentionally adjusting payouts so that the price doesn’t jump. Regular stocks suffer from Bitcoin’s decline (it fell nearly 20% in February), while preferred shares provide stable income. I wonder how long this scheme can work amid crypto volatility? BTC is currently around $71.7K. This is a five-level portfolio protection strategy.
