After the United States approved a temporary exemption order, Russian crude oil and fuels on about 30 tankers in Asian waters may be available for purchase. Ship tracking data shows that these vessels carry at least 19 million barrels of Russian crude oil and 310k tons of refined products. Among the 25 Russian crude oil tankers with unknown final destinations, nearly one-third are loaded with lighter Sokol crude oil.
