Russia claims to control another settlement, Ukraine claims to prevent Russian forces from advancing

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on March 31 that in the past 24 hours, Russian forces struck energy and transportation infrastructure, drone launch and storage sites used by Ukrainian forces, as well as deployment locations of Ukrainian armed forces and temporary contractors in 158 regions. The Russian air defense systems shot down 9 guided air bombs and 384 fixed-wing drones. Additionally, Russian forces took control of a settlement in the Sumy region. On the same day, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that there were 140 battles on the front lines in the past 24 hours, with Ukrainian troops preventing Russian forces from advancing deeper into Ukraine and inflicting significant personnel and equipment losses in multiple sectors. The Ukrainian Air Force, missile units, and artillery attacked two Russian personnel assembly areas and one drone control point, shooting down over 2,000 drones. (CCTV News)
