Germany's March pure electric vehicle registrations increased by 66.2% year-on-year

The Federal Motor Transport Authority of Germany released data on the 7th showing that in March this year, the registration of pure electric vehicles in Germany reached 70.7k units, a significant year-on-year increase of 66.2%, continuing a rapid expansion trend and becoming a key factor driving growth in the automotive market. Since the beginning of the year, the German auto market has shown signs of recovery. In March, new passenger car registrations totaled 294k units, a year-on-year increase of 16.0%, with a cumulative growth of 5.2% in the first quarter. Meanwhile, sales of traditional fuel vehicles still face pressure, with new registrations of gasoline and diesel cars in March decreasing by 4.9% and 0.6% respectively year-on-year.
