Listen, the Nevada Court of Appeals has just temporarily opened the door to block Kalshi from operating its prediction markets. Crazy, because this means there’s a motion approved for a temporary ban while the case continues. So basically, they’re saying Kalshi has to stop until a final decision is made. This is somewhat surprising given that prediction markets are booming in various places. What’s interesting is the timing and how this could affect other prediction startups. Does anyone know what the actual legal issue is? It seems like this will set an important precedent for prediction market regulation moving forward.
