ME News report: On April 11 (UTC+8), the Speaker of Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly, Kalibaf, will hold talks with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz on the same day to determine the timing and format of negotiations between Iran and the United States. In addition, Iran will raise the issue of the United States’ breach of commitments with the Pakistani Prime Minister during the talks. Prerequisites for launching the negotiations include the unfreezing of Iranian assets and a ceasefire in Lebanon. The U.S. has informed Pakistan and agreed to these prerequisites as well as some other conditions for initiating negotiations. The Iranian delegation plans to assess the U.S. position and its fulfillment of commitments during the talks, and then decide whether to negotiate with the U.S. side. In another report, Tasnim News Agency said that if Iran and the U.S. can hold negotiations, the current plan is for talks to start later on the 11th and may last only one day.
