The Iranian Speaker of Parliament will meet with the Prime Minister of Pakistan to discuss the format of Iran-U.S. negotiations.
Mars Finance reports that on April 11, according to Iran’s Islamic Republic Broadcasting, Iran’s Islamic Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani will hold talks with Pakistani Prime Minister Shabaz to agree on the timing and format of negotiations with the United States.
According to Tasnim News Agency, Iran will raise issues of U.S. breach of commitments during the talks with the Pakistani Prime Minister.
The prerequisites for starting negotiations include the unfreezing of Iranian assets and a ceasefire in Lebanon. The U.S. has informed Pakistan that it agrees to these prerequisites and some other conditions for initiating talks.
The Iranian delegation plans to assess the U.S. stance and its fulfillment of commitments during the talks before deciding whether to negotiate with the U.S. side.
In another report, Tasnim News Agency said that if Iran and the U.S. can hold negotiations, the current plan is to start negotiations later on the 11th, which may last only one day. (Jin10)
