CoinWorld News reports, citing the Arab media Asharq News, that negotiations between Lebanon and Israel will take place before talks between Iran and the United States. Today, a preparatory phone call was held. Participants included Israeli Ambassador to Washington Nadera Hamad Muaweed, Israeli Ambassador to Washington Yehiel Lait, U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Michelle Esa, and the U.S. Department of State’s Policy Planning Director Mike Nidem. A face-to-face meeting between Lebanon and Israel is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, hosted by Lebanese Ambassador Hamad Muaweed. The Lebanon talks are now under the responsibility of U.S. Secretary of State Rubio, and are completely independent of the Iran talks and Islamabad talks.
