The 2026 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference, themed “Deep Integration of Technological Innovation and Industrial Innovation,” once again focuses global innovation attention on Beijing. As a member unit of the forum office, the exclusive management unit for market-oriented operations, a global strategic partner, and a city-level science and technology innovation service platform, Zhongguancun Development Group aims to “Let Innovation Grow,” deeply integrating into the entire forum process. While high-quality completing top-level design and service guarantees, it promotes efficient transformation of scientific and technological achievements, laying a solid foundation for the construction of Beijing (Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei) International Science and Technology Innovation Center.

Accelerating the transformation of forum achievements

This forum is not only a grand event for global technological ideas exchange but also an “accelerator” for promoting the implementation of innovation results and upgrading industrial cooperation. During the forum, Zhongguancun Development Group hosted 24 forum activities.

As one of the organizers of the technology transaction segment, Zhongguancun Development Group organized more than 20 roadshow docking activities, gathering over 500 domestic and international science and technology projects for roadshow promotion; launched and operated the Zhongguancun International Technology Exchange Center, attracting over 90 domestic and foreign institutions including the China Technology Exchange, building a full-chain, one-stop technology transaction comprehensive service system; created a tech service team—the “Blue Vest” technical managers from Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei—providing professional services for innovation projects; launched the “Orange Fruit Shop” tech new product debut store, showcasing cutting-edge products such as glasses-free 3D displays and bionic dexterous hands, and promoting products through live streams in the science and tech transfer channel, creating an integrated platform for release, experience, and communication. Meanwhile, 17 district chief reception halls were organized to serve talent attraction and intelligence introduction in various districts.

The Zhongguancun International Frontier Technology Competition, jointly organized for the first time by Zhongguancun Development Group, attracted over 2,100 projects from 68 countries and regions worldwide, with international projects accounting for 43%, and about 40% in artificial intelligence. Ten projects advanced to the finals. The competition facilitated cooperation agreements for 10 innovative projects with relevant institutions, demonstrating its positioning as a high-level international frontier science and technology exchange and competition platform that “uses competitions as a medium, gathers talent through competitions, and promotes production via competitions.” The group released a corporate service package, providing full-cycle, comprehensive, and all-chain support in areas such as industry landing and space assurance, technology and resource support, financing and financial empowerment, market and brand expansion, accelerating project implementation and growth. For the first time, the competition launched the “Frontier Night” event, gathering government, industry, academia, and research resources to create an open, diverse communication platform.

Through hosting the “Hard Technology Investment and Development” forum, Zhongguancun Development Group defined “New Quality Capital.” On-site, the group reached strategic cooperation agreements with Harbin Institute of Technology and the Beijing Securities Exchange to build a virtuous cycle ecosystem of “Science-Industry-Finance.” Zhongguancun Capital signed agreements with seven hard-tech companies such as Taichu Zhice to establish operations in Beijing, with a total signing amount of about 187 million yuan, covering cutting-edge fields like artificial intelligence, quantum information, biomedicine, and commercial aerospace.

Continuous empowerment

Upgrading the innovation ecosystem again

During the forum, a batch of integrated service achievements for the innovation ecosystem was implemented. The second phase of the Golden Seed Fund was initiated with a total scale of 1 billion yuan, focusing on high-end manufacturing. Zhongguancun Development Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Beijing Rural Commercial Bank to deepen cooperation in science and technology finance and industrial investment; co-built an intellectual property service talent practice base with the Intellectual Property College of the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, promoting precise connection between intellectual property theory research, talent cultivation, and industry needs.

Significant progress has been made in building world-leading science parks. Zhongguancun (Jingxi) Artificial Intelligence Science Park was selected as an annual特色产业园, and five parks under the group signed co-construction agreements with multiple universities and research institutes. Zhongguancun Construction Investment jointly released the AI OPC public support plan and launched the “Jingxi Wisdom Valley AI Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition,” providing young entrepreneurs with resources such as computing power, space, and investment and financing support.

Focusing on AI achievement transformation, Zhongguancun Development Group released several heavyweight成果. The Beijing Artificial Intelligence Association was inaugurated, with the group as a core initiator, serving over 1,400 AI upstream and downstream enterprises. The National University AI Zone Center Venture Capital Fund was announced, with an initial amount of 500 million yuan, a 10-year term, focusing on large models, intelligent agents, smart hardware, and AI infrastructure, supporting early-stage AI projects with patient capital. By creating a unique label for the Zhongguancun Forum with differentiated content, the group innovatively built a new content brand with depth, warmth, and memorable points through the “Insight into the Future” parallel forum and the “Zhongguancun Furnace Night” dual events. The activities invited “Father of Silicon Valley” Kevin Kelly and Luo Zhenyu, founder of Dedao App, to appear on stage together for the first time, gathering academicians, deans, entrepreneurs, and other leading figures to explore technological trends over the next decade.

Serving national strategies

“True collaboration is not simply physical stacking but symbiosis and mutual growth of the innovation ecosystem,” said Li Yan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Zhongguancun Development Group. The group will closely follow the capital metropolitan planning, deeply cultivate the Beijing-Tianjin and Beijing-Xiong’an corridors, making the flow of innovation resources smoother and allocation more efficient.

In Xiong’an New Area Zhongguancun Science Park, “Xiong’an speed” and “innovation intensity” are perfectly combined. In two and a half years, the park’s operational area increased from 21k to 207k square meters, attracting over 260 tech companies; Tianjin Binhai-Zhongguancun Science Park signed and registered over 6,500 companies; over 210实体项目落地于京津中关村科技城; Baoding Zhongguancun Innovation Center has attracted more than 950 companies. The group has provided nearly 10 billion yuan in financing support to 1,200 enterprises in Tianjin and Hebei, helped formulate the “Zhongguancun Ten Rules” in Xiong’an, and launched 55 supporting policies in Tianjin, promoting cross-regional layouts such as BAIC supporting and Kexin Agriculture, constructing a Zhongguancun-like innovation ecology through a “point-line-surface-body” collaborative model.

During the forum, the group co-hosted the “Smart Macau·Global Launch” conference with the Macau Investment Promotion Bureau, jointly building the Macau Science and Technology R&D Industrial Park, exploring fund cooperation, and promoting AI and biomedicine enterprises to go global. At the “ASEAN Innovation Cooperation Development Forum,” the group signed a strategic agreement with the International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission and was awarded the “Zhongguancun AI Enterprise Overseas Service Station (ASEAN),” creating a new cross-border cooperation model of “Finance + Technology + Industry.” Additionally, the group actively linked with Beijing Oriental, Bank of Beijing, Beijing Enterprises Group, Beijing State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and Beihua Group, involving multiple Beijing state-owned enterprises in the forum.

Highlighting the concept of science and technology event management

This year, Zhongguancun Development Group adhered to the “Science and Technology Event Management” concept, iterating and optimizing the service guarantee system. From venue design and setup to the full process service of over 100 forum activities, the group provided comprehensive support for the five major sections of the forum.

In parallel forums, among the 60 held this year, 21 were inaugural, including 14 forums on fundamental research such as quantum technology and lunar-mars space utilization, showcasing Beijing’s deep-rooted innovation foundation. For supporting activities, the group organized and planned 31 events around enterprise sessions, industry sessions, and science and culture, including 12 enterprise-focused events; launched the new ZGC Tech-Show, breaking traditional roadshow boundaries with an “Open Mic” format, allowing over 30 activities for researchers and entrepreneurs to share new ideas, spark new innovations, and showcase new technologies.

The “Science and Technology Event Management” was further upgraded. The group comprehensively upgraded the forum’s intelligent management system, creating the “Zhongguancun Forum Intelligent Agent” based on large models, integrating information inquiry, conference navigation, multimodal knowledge Q&A, and other functions. The AI simultaneous translation system uses voiceprint recognition and speech fitting technology to enable multi-language simultaneous translation in the speaker’s native voice, expanding service languages to French, Russian, Spanish, and others, totaling 8 languages. The robot application scale reached a new high, with nearly 100 robots providing diverse services in greeting,交流, performance, and service scenarios. The newly launched robot dining bar enables multiple robots to collaborate in preparing meals, and a robot band also delivered精彩表演.

In the “Science and Technology Park Visit and Exchange Activities,” nearly 50 foreign guests from over 30 countries and regions including Armenia, Pakistan, Brazil, and France visited Zhongguancun Software Park under Zhongguancun Development Group, experiencing the forefront of digital economy and the vibrant atmosphere of Beijing’s科技创新与开放合作. Meanwhile, the Zhongguancun Forum International Volunteer Service Center, led by the group and in cooperation with multiple universities, recruited 300 volunteers to serve the current forum annual meeting.

The 2026 Zhongguancun Forum successfully concluded.
